AEROPLANES HAVE PETROL ENGINE........WHY?

On the whole there are two engines which dominate the running vehicles all over the world. One is Petrol engine and other is Diesel engine. And now Gasolin engines become pre-dominant all over.

Well where do we use petrol engine and where do we use diesel engine? Thing is petrol are efficient and have less maintanance. Where as Diesel engines are more efficient in heavy vehicles. It has high load bearing capacity than petrol. Thats the reason why we use diesel in trucks and buses, but petrol in bikes and cars.

Now what engines are used in Aeroplanes. Its a heavy vehicle right !!! Well if your answer is diesel engine, then you are wrong. AEROPLANES USE ONLY PETROL ENGINES.

WHY DO LIGHTENING CAUSE SOUND?

Have you ever thought, why a lightening cause sound. Well many people misunderstand that the sound produced is due to two charged air mass, that is, the clouds strike each other to produce sound.

Well Lightening is atmospheric electro-static discharge, that is accompanied by thunderstorm, volcanoes, etc., When lightening strikes, huge amount of atmospheric electric charges are discharged into the earth's atmosphere. During this process, the charges are discharged in with a very high speed (nearly 2,20,000 km/hr) and can reach a temperature of about 30,000 degree Celsius. And that is why sound is produced. Weird... Isn't it?

Save the tigers and be a tiger

In 1937 ,India had about 7000 tigers and now we have only 1411 tigers (estimated). Our national animal is extincting from our own country. Is there any one to save them. Can our next generation will be able to see tigers as we didn’t see many animals .Can’t we take any precautionary measures against it. I know government has taken many measures to protect it but still it if not enough to protect them.

We can do many things to save them . In India many tigers reserves are there but still their extincting, we can provide more security to protect them, breeding of tigers all over the world , saving as many tigers as possible as from their illness by hiring vet.doctors, protecting their natural habitat as forest, etc. In some cases even government is responsible for the extinct of tigers in security purpose of tigers. Not only tigers are in endangered  level of extinction but as well as lions of Africa and India, Blue whales in pacific ocean and sharks. Surely these fishes are killed to make cosmetic products from their skin and liver only for these thing they are killed.

India’s future depends on quality of primary education: Kalam

The future of the nation depends on the quality of primary education imparted, former President Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam has said.
Emphasising the importance of education, Dr. Kalam said, while addressing students at a school here on Friday, that primary education must be made a fundamental right of Indian citizens.

Primary education needs to be approached more creatively where dedicated teachers nurture young children who can prepare themselves for the challenges of the future, he said at the seminar titled “Evolution of the Unique.”
The syllabi should engage the children and lead them to enjoy the process of learning, he said.
Dr. Kalam also stressed on time management as a rule for achieving success and said that children must be taught to set a goal for themselves and be motivated to work hard to achieve it.
Interacting with the students for about an hour, he also responded to their questions on issues relating to terrorism, corruption and India’s relationship with Pakistan.
He later went to Rajsamand to meet the Jain saint Mahashraman.

Air pollution increases heart risk

High-pollution days may trigger heart attacks in some people, elderly and people with existing heart or lung disease are most vulnerable.

It is recommended that people with heart disease and others at risk - including the elderly and people with diabetes or high blood pressure - stay clear of congested roadways and spend less time outside on days when air quality is poor.
The evidence of harm is strongest against pollutants known as fine particulate matter. Fine particulate matter is released into the air when wood or fossil fuels are burned, so car exhaust, home heating and industrial sources like power plants all contribute. The particles are small enough that they can be inhaled deeply into the lungs. The researchers suspected they may trigger heart attacks in vulnerable people by causing inflammation in the blood vessels and irritating the nerves of the lungs.

Samsung planning 42-inch OLED TV in 2011

3D or OLED? Which one is the future of TV?

Samsung is planning to release a whopping 42-inch OLED TV by 2011, according to latest reports from the Far East.Samsung Mobile Display are starting a trial production of a 42-inch OLED-TV with the new 5.5 generation production line in Cheonan in the third quarter of this year.

42-inch OLED TVs at CES 2011
Sammy's 5.5 Generation (1500x1100mm) OLED production line is planned to be ready for mass production of large OLED TV screens by the first quarter of 2011.So we could well be seeing some large-screen OLED TVs making an appearance at CES in Vegas next January.
Which begs the question, might OLED actually be 'the next big thing' for the TV manufacturing industry to latch-onto next year, once the current hype around 3D technology has run its course?

Next Generation 3D TV

After the success of Avatar in cinemas and the flood of 3D technology introduced at trade shows like CES 2010,3D TV is finally becoming a reality in our technology life. All the major players are well and truly on the 3D bandwagon and they’re set to make a lot of noise to try and entice consumers on board too. To help you navigate the 3D waters as various companies spruik their particular brand of 3D technology we’ve taken a look at what’s on offer, when it will hit shelves and how much it will cost.
In their favor the 3D TV manufactures may benefit from huge success of Avatar and the subsequent upswell in interest of 3D technology. This interest is set to continue with the number of 3D films coming out of Hollywood set to increase along with the introduction of 3D TV broadcasts – most notably with this year’s Football World Cup.
Also, the prices for 3D capable TVs aren’t completely out of the reach of the average consumer – something that isn’t usually the case with the introduction of next generation technology. Because TV manufacturers were able to make use of existing manufacturing facilities instead of building new ones has helped keep prices down.
On one hand, 3D is certainly creating a buzz. On the other, there’s a hell of a lot of TVs sitting in people’s living rooms that aren’t all that old. Sure, like it or not we’re a throwaway society but how many people are going to be willing to trash the big-screen HDTV that’s only a few years old.
For those who can’t wait to get 3D into their home and have the cash to splurge, there’s also the drawbacks of early adoption to consider – look at how many revisions to the Blu-ray spec there were. The more prudent among us might just wait until 2nd generation, but the push is undoubtedly on to get these sets into homes and 3D TV is here to stay.
